Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a fixed and folding bistro set?
A fixed bistro set stays assembled in your garden permanently. A folding set has chairs and a table that collapse flat for storage. Folding sets are ideal if you have limited space or want to pack furniture away during winter. Both types use the same PE rattan and steel construction.
Will a bistro set fit on a balcony?
Most balconies can accommodate a bistro set. You need a minimum area of about 1.5m x 1.5m. Measure your balcony first, and remember to check that the door can still open fully with the set in place. Folding sets are the safest bet for smaller balconies since they can be stored flat when not in use.
How much weight do bistro set chairs support?
Each bistro chair supports approximately 120kg. The steel frame construction is sturdy despite the compact size. Make sure all four chair legs are on a level surface for the best stability.
Can I buy replacement parts for a bistro set?
Contact our customer service team with your model details and we can check availability of spare parts and cushions. We keep stock of the most common replacement items for our current range.
Are bistro sets suitable for eating meals at?
Yes. The table is typically 60-70cm across, which is plenty of room for two place settings. It works well for breakfast, lunch, and lighter dinners. For larger meals or if you frequently host guests, consider a dining set instead.
